Tournament Finals

Now this is an upset.

I ran the bracket at random 3 times and it turns out that Asura and Jin basically slaughtered everyone. If I could animate this it would be beautiful, but sadly I'm not that good. So lets refer back to our knowledge about Jin and Asura. Asura has five transformations and is an experienced fighter. Asura also once defeated Ryu in combat and went toe to toe with Oni. In his final form I'm more than confident Asura can defeat Oni if it came down to it. Jin's devil form however makes him a tank. He's taken as much of a beating as Asura, but he can also dish it out. I think his slight edge is his temporary invulnerability. If you've following Warcade please leave a comment below of who you think should win between Jin and Asura.

These are the end times of The Warcade. So to have some fun I decided to do a tournament of all the participants. The seeds for the tournament are completely random and can be viewed below.  I hope you enjoy, it's been a pleasure. If you want me to continue comment and I'll consider it.

Who Do You Got ?

Kratos v. Asura

Have you ever wanted to do the impossible? If so you probably love video games. But imagine if you could be a total badass and slay gods. Now imagine if there was another badass out there who could slay gods too. Wouldn't it be cool if they fought to the death. Kratos the former god of war and son of Zeus verses Asura the destroyer of everything. It's time to study their skills and see who would win in a fight to the death.

Kratos, the ghost of Sparta is a ruthless Spartan demi-god (Zeus' Kid that's not Hercules) who became a servant of Aires, later replacing Aires as god of war, and eventually the killer of both titans and gods.

Weapons/Abilities

• Blades of Exile - Twin short swords connected by chain that are burned to Kratos' arms that can grab objects or people. They can also emit fire. 
• Blade of Olympus - A five foot long blade filled with god power that can kill both titan and olympic god.
• The Golden Fleece - A magical gauntlet that can defend attacks including the blade of Olympus.
• Bow of Apollo - Can rapidly fire long range fire arrows within a magic limit.
• Claws of Hades - Blades that can rip souls from bodies and can summon souls. However depending on the opponent the claws can be resisted.
• Nemean Cestus - Lion shaped gauntlets that grant Kratos super strength and can create shockwaves on impact.
• Boots of Hermes - Gives Kratos super speed.
• Icarus Wings - Gives Kratos the ability to fly.

Asura, one of the seven deities, general, and demi-god. Destroyer of the other six deities and slayer of the creator.

Skills/Abilities

• Large Mantra Supply - Asura has a large amount of Mantra. So much that he has trouble containing it  causing him to transform. He also gains more Mantra the angrier he gets.
• Fist projectile - Asura throws a punch from a considerable and the force of the punch takes a projectile form of a fist.
• Vjra Asura - A form where Asura's arms are coated in a golden metallic armor. 
• Six Armed Asura - Vajra Asura but with the addition of four (4) metallic arms sprouting from his body. Using Mantra it allows him to destroy weak opponents with ease.
• Berserk Asura - When enraged and consumed by mantra Asura can generate four (4) additional phantom arms made of concentrated Mantra from the portals on his back. The arms, including Asura himself, are capable of releasing large amounts of Mantra; even Asura's screams produce booming shock waves. Berserker Asura was enough to decimate an entire Shinkoku armada and challenge the Brahmastra directly.
• Mantra Asura - Asura's rage is focused, harnessing the excess Mantra into power and increasing the size and armor of his arms to hulking. These arms possess the strength of a thousand arms and can vent jets of Mantra for increased agility and striking power.
• Mantra Reactor Asura - It allows Asura to channel as much power as he needs into it and will no longer turn into his Berserker or Wrath forms because his anger can no longer destroy his body. It allows him to use his power in even stronger ways than ever, increasing his abilities to levels never before seen, even in his most basic transformation.
• Asura The Destructor - In this form his skin becomes grey-colored and he manifests six arms identical in appearance to those of his Mantra form. His power in this stage is immense and godlike. His blasts destroyed multiple stars and planets and was able to punch a planet at least a hundred times bigger than him to the point where it broke apart.

And the winner is ...

Asura

Asura is simply just more powerful than Kratos. Kratos magic supply and arsenal isn't powerful enough to destroy planets and stars. Also Kratos' energy doesn't replenish based on his rage. The characters are very similar but the worlds are too different. In Asura's world the demigods are just too much for a warrior like Kratos to handle.

ASURA V. KRATOS 

Jin v. Ryu

They say that a true martial artist trains in order to beat themselves not their opponent. Although that might be true I'd rather watch somebody get their ass handed to them. Jin the king of the iron fist tournament and heir to the Mishima Zaibatsu versus Ryu, the street fighter and master of Hado. I will be reviewing their skills, abilities, and experiences to see who would win in a fight to the death.

Ryu

Incredible fighter trained in the art of Ansatsuken (Assassins fist) and a master of Ki (life energy)which is used for Hado (a form of ki). Ryun has survived impalement, the raging demon attack, and deflected/dodged bullets.

Skills 

• Hado

1. Shoryuken (Rising Dragon Fist) - An extremely powerful upper cut.
2. Hadoken (Wave Motion Fist) - A projectile blast composed of life energy and will.
3. Tatsumaki Senpukyaku (Tornado Whirlwind Leg) - Using his leg as a propeller Ryu temporarily flies in the air to strike his opponent. Can also be used to avoid attacks.
4. Joudan Sokutogeri (Axe Foot) - A swift step kick to the stomach.

• Satsui no Hado (Surge of Murderous Intent) - Also known as the Dark Hado. Increases speed, strength, and durability.

1. The Raging Demon - A technique that turns ones sins against them.
2. Brief teleportation
3. Every other Hado technique amplified. 

• Power of Nothingness - Ryu removes himself of all emotion increases power beyond the Dark Hado

Jin Kazama

Heir to the Mishima Zaibatsu. Master of three styles of Karate. Part man, part devil, and all around bad ass.

Skills

• Karate

1. Master of Kazaa style Karate
2. Master of Mishima style Karate
3. Master of traditional Karate.

• Devil Jin - Jin's demon form that activates when enraged. He becomes faster, stronger, and more durable. He even survived a fall from space, which he can survive in. 

1. Laser Beams - Jin can shoot lasers from his eye balls.
2. Telekinesis - The ability to move objects with your mind.
3. Flight

• Demonic Aura - Jin focuses on one goal and becomes invincible by surrounding himself in a demonic aura.

AND THE WINNER IS.....

Jin Kazama

If we took the devil gene and dark hado out of this fight, I think Ryu would definitely kick Jin's ass. But Jin is beyond just murderous intent infused will power. His devil gene is out of this world; literally. If we put both fighters up against each other in their strongest state. Jin would be invincible and Ryu would be unstoppable but till vulnerable. I have to give it to Jin.

Spyro The Dragon v. Knack

 

Quick question for you guys. Which Playstation has the best games? The PS1 or The PS4? Better question: which Playstation had the most fun games? I think thats a battle for another day, but today we have Knack the newest edition to the Playstation heroes (exclusively on the PS4) and Spyro the veteran dragon from the PS1/PS2 era. I'll be breaking down their skills, abilities, and experience to see who would win in a fight to the death.

Spyro the Dragon

Spyro The Dragon is a friendly and tenacious little dragon that makes up for his size with overwhelming power.

Abilities

Dragon Breath: Spyro can breathe a variety of breath attacks at his enemies.

1. Fire: Spyro's main breath, which is used to destroy his foes or melt ice.
2. Water: Slows down enemies and can only hurt fire based opponents and kill fodder.
3. Bubble: Similar to the water breath, is used instead to capture dragonflies.
4. Ice: Can freeze enemies and male them weaker for attack.
5. Electricity: To charge machinery and stun foes.
6. Wind: Originally to push Spyro backwards, but through further practice was able to create tornados to attack foes.

Power-ups: A list of enhancements to Spyro's normal abilities. (All abilities have a time limit)

1. Super-flame: Powerful fireballs in place of Spyro's normal fire breath. 
2. Super-fly: Flight instead of gliding.
3. Invincibility: Immune to enemy attacks and obstacles such as lava and acid.
4. Supercharge: A fast charge used for smashing items and attacking enemies.

• Dragon Time: The ability to slow down time temporarily to defeat his foes.
• Dragon Kata: Ancient Dragon Martial Arts used to defeat creatures of the shadow realm.
• Climbing: Self explanatory.
• Wall Kick: A kick off the wall.
• Wing Shield: Spyro uses his wings as a shield to protect himself.
• Headbash: A charged head-butt.
• Swimming: A sport or activity.

Knack

A mysterious golem like creature made from ancient relics (similar to lego blocks) that allow him to change form, size, and kick goblin ass. The more relics he absorbs the bigger he can grow. When he's damaged he loses relics until he's smaller and in his weakest state.

Abilities 

• Melee Attack: A simple punch.
• Air Attack: Knack jumps into the air and kicks the enemy.
• Sweep Attack: Knack dodges an attack then sweeps his arm. Hitting his opponents from a flank.
• Dodge: A well timed evasion of an opponents attack.
• Jump: C'mon really.
• Quadruple Jump: A jump...four times 

Sunstone Attacks: Attacks using collected sunstone energy that give Knack temporarily invulnerability when in use.

1. Ranged Attack: Knack can fire his relics with sunstone energy in them to attack multiple enemies at once.
2. Shockwave: A massive wave of sunstone energy is released damaging all enemies in the radius.
3. Tornado: Using his own relics Knack can create a tornado around his body damaging all opponents that come near him.

Transformations: Different forms Knack can take when going into battle.

1. Ice: Turns his body into ice and makes him more durable. However he's susceptible to melting.
2. Metal: Although Knack becomes stronger and more durable he also becomes magnetic.
3. Wood: Knack turns to the wood and sets himself on fire making him more powerful but will eventually hurt him.
4. Stealth: Can become completely undetected.
5. Vampire: Constantly loses health, but gains new relics after defeating an enemy.
6. Dark: Can take my damage than regular knack, but absorbs energy slower.
7. Sunstone: Collects sunstone energy quicker allowing Knack to perform sunstone attacks much faster and consistently.
8. Massive Knack: A giant version of Knack made of relics. His attacks and defense are much stronger due to the amount of relics he accumulated.
9. Diamond Knack: The strongest version of Knack with absolutely no weaknesses. Strongest attacks, defense, and can absorb energy more efficiently.

And The Winner Is ?

Spyro The Dragon

Spyro is a power house. He has a wide variety of attacks that handle anything that Knack throws at him. Also what really hurts Knack is that his health comes from his relic parts. The more parts Knack loses the more health he loses and from what we see in the game it is very easy for Knack to fall apart piece by piece. The winner is Spyro.

Crash Bandicoot v. Pac-man

You ever sat down with your parents or your grandparents and watched a boxing match. You ever wonder who'd win in a fight between the champ of their generation and yours ? Like what if Floyd Mayweather Jr fought Mike Tyson; who'd win. Well I think thats the closest we'll get in comparison to this match-up. Pac-man the 80's super-powered ghost buster vs Crash Bandicoot, the evolved bandicoot from the 90's. I'll be breaking down their skills, experience, and weapons to see who'd win in a fight to the DEATH!!!

Pac-Man

Pac-man is your friendly neighborhood ghost eater based off of of a slice of pizza with an eight of it missing. Pac-man in the early games was a round figure that could only eat pellets and attack his phantom adversaries by eating his power pellets. But in the Pac-man world games he gained new abilities, skills, and limbs.

Abilities

• Butt-Bounce - Pac-man bonces on his butt causing a huge explosion and destroys his enemies

• Rev Roll - Pac-man runs in place and rolls in a ball in any direction. It can also destroy enemies.

• Pac-dot Shoot - Pac-man can shoot a ball from his hand like a bullet to damage his enemies.

• Super Pac-dot Shoot - A shotgun version of the Pac-dot Shot

• Flip Kick- A flip kick. You've seen one, you've seen them all.

• Punch - Do I really have to explain ?

• Triple Butt Bounce - A butt bounce three times that creates a shockwave killing 2 enemies at a time

• Electro Shock - Pac-man can shoot electricity from his hands, damaging and stunning enemies

• Ribbon ring Power - Pac-man runs around with a light trail creating a ring around his enemies

• Steel Body - Pac-man can turn into steel. His defensive increases and can with stand fire and lava.

• Shrink Pellet - Pac-man shrinks to a smaller size making him weaker but unnoticeable to enemies.

Crash Bandicoot

Your friendly, charismatic, adventurous hyper evolved Bandicoot. Guided by tiki spirits and ass kicker of evil genius'. As an evolved Bandicoot, Crash has enhanced strength, speed, agility, can crawl on walls, spin at high speeds, dig, and has fought titans, evil doctors, and mystical tiki spirits. Crash is strong enough to lift titans, control titans, and is unaffected by mind control.

Here are his power-ups.

Abilities

• Super Charged Body Slam - a belly flop with a medium range that crushes anything beneath him and destroys locks and crates.

• Double Jump- Crash can jump his height and jump again while in the air (approximately 4 crates high).

• Death Tornado - Crash can spin at high speeds for a long amount of time. Crash can glide over gaps, move faster in water, and evade traps and obstacles while spinning.

• Fruit Bazooka - Crash uses a bazooka that fires his wampa fruit but immobilizes him. It usually kills a single foe with one blast.

• Crash Dash - Crash can run faster than his normal high speed.

• Sneak Shoes - Shoes that slow Crash's movement.

• Super Slide - Crash can slide for an extended period of time.

• Rocket Jump - Crash jumps vertically and crash through any crates in his way.

• Aku Aku - A tiki spirit mask that crash can use to defend himself. After breaking 3 Aku Aku crates Crash can temporarily become invincible and destroy every opponent or crate he touches.2 crates Aku Aku can take 2 hits of damage.

AND THE WINNER IS .......

CRASH BANDICOOT

Crash has more fighting experience with trained opponents than Pac-man. Also even though Pac-man might have a more deadlier arsenal than Crash, Crash's Arsenal is made to avoid his opponent and strike when the opportunity presents itself.  Also Aku Aku is a hidden variable. Crash is temporarily invincible and can destroy all opponents and obstacles with a single touch. With that information the winner is Crash Bandicoot.

Subway Surfer v. Temple Run

Do you have games on your phone ? I'm sure we all have that one little kid on our blocks that always looks over our shoulders as we're texting waiting to play a game on our phones and kill our batteries. When I first got my iPhone the two games my sisters would ask me for is Temple Run and Subway Surfer. Now neither of theses characters are fighters, but I wonder which one of these iPhone champions would win in a race to the death. Lets break down their accomplishments, powers, and skills. We will use standard power-ups (1 of each) and stats for both characters. No upgrades ! 

Jake 

Jake is the default character in Subway Surfers and our racer in today's face off. In Jake's arsenal we have 

• Hover-board - A Back to the Future like item that last for 30 seconds. and in those 30 seconds Jake will be protected from crashing. But when it crashes the hover-board will explode and have to recharge after a few seconds.

• Jet pack- This item give Jake the ability to fly and becomes invincible to everything. Also last for 30 seconds

• Super Sneakers- Jake wears these sneakers and can bounce with every step, allowing him to jump over obstacles.

• Power Jumper- A pogo stick like item that allows the character to make a super jump in the air

• Mega Head-start - An upgraded version of the head-start (which is no longer available) that will allow you to zoom in the sky for 30 seconds and allow you to avoid all obstacles in the beginning of the game.

Guy Dangerous

Guy is the default character in Temple Run and our other racer in the face off. In Guy's arsenal we have

• Invisibility- Guy becomes immune to all obstacles (30 seconds) and fills in holes and gaps in the ground. 

• Speed Boost - Boost Guy forward a certain distance and he is unable to die (approximately 8 seconds) and is under control of the game for this duration. 

AND THE WINNER IS .....

The Subway Surfer

Both players have good power ups and half of them I chose not to include because they focus on coins and not survival. So when we factor in only the performance power-ups, Jake has a bigger arsenal than Guy. However if we allowed upgrades in the Face-off maybe Guy would have a better chance.

The Intro

Sup Gamers and Nerds, my name is Nick and I'll be your publisher. This blog will be about video games vs other video game characters.. Therefore these post will mostly be about which game character scan kick the others ass. We'll be looking at their abilities, powers, items, and accomplishments to see who's better.

I started this blog because it was a requirement for my Video games and Gaming class. Yes, theres a Video games class at my University and yea my homework is to write a blog. Awesome ! I'm a college student and occasional gamer by day and a DJ, Radio Host, and Producer by night. So next week will be my first official post on WARCADE. See you soon.
